Though most of the media is focused on the presidential election, it is actually our local and state leaders who impact our daily lives the most. Aimee is committed to the lives of you and your families and will fight to make your community a better place. She is focused on placing emphasis on the importance of public education, ensuring the health of your family, and representing your community at the Statehouse. While the presidential election is inconceivably important, local elections are incredibly important and represent the needs of Hoosiers the most.
If you want to know anything about Aimee, you should know that she is extremely involved in her community. From volunteering in different organizations, to fighting for marginalized groups, she strives to make every community member feel heard. Her determination is very important as a candidate for a local election because local elections impact our day-to-day lives in so many ways. Because of Aimee’s extensive involvement in her community, she knows that education is really important to her constituents. She wants to ensure public schools are properly funded, and teachers are paid sufficiently. She also knows through conversations with many voters that your families are of utmost importance to you and wants to ensure that they are cared for in the best ways. Because of her concern for the families in her community, she advocates for affordable daycare, universal paid maternity leave, and access to birth control. Aimee’s candidacy is an opportunity for the needs of your family to be represented. She wants to make a difference in her position, and that is so important when deciding who will represent your voice in the Statehouse.
We so desperately need people like Aimee in local government positions to fight for our education system and the safety of every Hoosier. Aimee ultimately represents the issues that affect your daily lives the most. This election is the perfect opportunity to cast your vote and let your voice be heard in the presidential election, but an even better opportunity to cast a vote for Aimee and make sure you are represented locally. While 2020 has been a year full of uncertainty with both politics and humanity, may we not lose sight of candidates like Aimee who will create change within her own community.
